Metrobank have 'Dementia Friends' across their business, who can help those suffering from memory loss when they come into any of their stores. They are also funding a research project that will identify a new drug target for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
To help support people with the condition, HSBC UK staff are receiving Dementia Friends information sessions, learning more about dementia and the small ways they can help.
Halifax will support customers in choosing what suits them best in relation to their financial affairs. They will give the customer enough information and advice to make decisions about managing, now and in the future, as their dementia progresses.

Speaking on becoming Dementia Friends, they said "I’m really pleased we’re dementia friendly as it supports the values we have as a building society. We already have ‘quiet hour’ Wednesday between 3.30pm and 4.30pm to help customers who like a peaceful environment.
