These clubs ensure people with dementia enjoy equal opportunities to enjoy socialising, are easily able to participate in everyday activity and live independently, all without fear of stigma or rejection.

A free friendly place for carers of those living with dementia to come together for help, support and information at Bushey Baptist Church. The club is held on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

A Creative Art Group for people living with dementia. This vibrant art programme provides age-appropriate, creative, and stimulating activities tailored to the needs, abilities, and interests of both the service users and carers who are participating. This social group provides peer interaction and support, whikst building positive memories. These sessions are aimed specifically for those with Young Onset Dementia (YOD), those diagnosed before 65 years old.

To ensure diners have a relaxed and pleasant experience, catering students at West Herts College have taken their time to become 'Dementia Friends' before launching this dining experience, to help provide dementia-friendly customer service and understand the challenges facing people with dementia.
The cost is £12 for three courses.

Hertswise is a service designed for people living with dementia, low level memory loss or mild cognitive impairment, with their friends, family and carers at its heart. It’s provided by a partnership of community and voluntary groups to ensure we can provide the kind of support that you need.

Hertswise has a Young Onset Worker (Sam Balding) who runs groups across the county – the Watford one is at North Watford Fire Station, St Albans Road WD24 7RX, on the last Thursday of the month from 11am to 1pm.

The Musical Herts project is a new adventure for Music24. Music24 strives to offer music-making opportunities to a wide spectrum of people in our community, however the groups are not open to the general public. People can access these services by referral.

Getting Together supports local social, health and wellbeing groups and activities across Watford & Three Rivers. There is always something for everyone to enjoy, keeping fit and active, taking part in a variety of activities, enjoying live music plus most importantly of all, meeting up with friends and having fun.

This group spends a lot of time drinking tea and eating biscuits whilst chatting, but in between, trying out some low level physical activity. All activities will be guided by the people in the group, so for example if there is an interest in cricket, tennis, cooking or cycling, they will make the sessions as relevant as possible. Friday mornings from 10am-12pm in the Church's large and small halls (£5).

Activities and events for people living with memory loss and those needing companionship. They offer: support groups and services with trained volunteers, relaxed and welcoming spaces to socialise, monthly theatre trips, counselling and therapy sessions, diagnosis support, training sessions and befrienders.

Singing for Memory are supporting people living with conditions that affect their memory. They run 'Singing Café Sessions' where people can enjoy singing and socialising, held on Mondays from 2pm - 3:30pm at St Albans Masorti Synagogue.

With specialist power assisted equipment, the toning suite provides supported low impact exercise programmes for older adults with a range of health conditions (including dementia) that are new to exercise. For more information, please call 01923 892710.
Specialist times - Toning tables every Friday 11.30am to 12.30pm, the carers have a choice of lane swimming/no strings badminton or a coffee in the café.

The trishaw, a rickshaw-style device can comfortably seat two people and will be piloted by volunteer cyclists through Cassiobury Park. The initiative that aims to increase physical activity and emotional wellbeing with both the passengers and cyclists alike,
The rides are free with the trishaws currently based at Watford Cycle Hub.
